The IMarEST, through it’s Young Members’ Network, can support you through your studies and during the early stages of your career
Social and professional networking: meeting people, making contacts and connections.
- Connecting with IMarEST branches worldwide: supported by your local Young Member Regional Coordinator, and focussing on activities in your region.
- Personal and professional development, help and career support: benefit from the experience of other members.
- Access valuable resources: including a full range of IMarEST books, magazines, technical journals, Employment Service, jobs and recruitment and access to
IMarEST scholarships and Young Member Awards.
- Get involved in conferences and events and become an IMarEST Ambassador, promoting the exciting and rewarding careers to be found in the marine sectors.
- Technical visits, seminars and workshops: lunch and learn sessions, industry tours and professional development activities and workshops on everything from becoming Chartered, leadership and teamwork skills, to interview practice.

Contact us on ymn@imarest.org to connect to a network in your region. Young Member Regional Co-ordinators are part of the IMarEST branch network and each area has a local programme of activities.
To take part in young member activities you will need to become a member of the IMarEST. You can join as a Student member or Professional member (see www.imarest.org/membership), giving you access to the Young Members’ Network.
