This Forum – the second organized by IMO-GloBallast and IMarEST - will provide the latest information on the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention and in particular emphasize the implications for the shipbuilding and ship repair industries.
More specifically, the Forum will highlight the experiences and expectations from shipbuilders, shipping companies and class societies, but will also bring in experiences from technology developers and shipowners. Participants will also be presented with the latest news about the implementation of the Convention from IMO, as well as the technical requirements under the Convention and its Guidelines.
