The IMarEST Golf Society is pleased to confirm the above date and venue for the Autumn Golf Day for the IMarEST Golf Society.
This is a new course for the society, nestling in the heart of Epping Forest with spectacular views over London and the surrounding countryside, West Essex Golf Club provides an absorbing and exhilarating test to golfers of all standards, particularly as the greens have recently all been rebuilt to USGA standard.
Built in its present location in 1989, the Clubhouse has stunning views across the City of London.
For this event, the cost will be £60 (incl. VAT) flat rate for both members and guests.
In addition to the above, buggies can be hired at £25 per round or £45 all day. Please note that buggies must be pre-booked to avoid disappointment on the day, and we have included a checkbox on the application form.
The fee includes 27 holes of golf, with the morning session being 9 holes of Greensome Stableford Pairs (first tee at 0930, thereafter every 8 minutes, from the 1st tee), and the afternoon session being 18 holes of Stableford Singles (first tee at 1300, thereafter every 8 minutes). In addition to the afternoon Stableford Singles, we will have the Double Peoria (12 secret holes), as well as the Nearest the Pin, the Longest Drive and the Don Bradman Trophy.
Upon arrival at the course, tea/coffee and a bacon roll will be provided, lunch will be provided on a rolling basis, followed by a supper of sandwiches with tea/coffee at the close of play. The presentation of the trophies and prizes to be awarded along with a raffle will take place at this time.
As a participant, we appreciate any prizes that you may wish to donate to the IMarEST Golf Society. These are presented in addition to the trophies at the end of the day. With regards to the trophies, unfortunately only IMarEST members can win these, but a prize is awarded to the guest with the best Stableford Singles score.
Present Autumn trophy holders are kindly requested to return the trophies to the Institute before 12 September or alternatively if participating, bring the trophy along on the day. Please be reminded that it is the responsibility of the trophy holder to have the cup engraved.
