The Branch held a weekend of festivities during 24-26 October, kicking off with the 15th Annual Ladies Night Dinner Dance at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. This hugely successful event attracted over 300 members and guests from around the world; IMarEST Chief Executive Keith Read, who was guest speaker, has the opportunity to meet with many of the local members over the weekend.
The dinner dance, which raised over 1800Euros for the local Mission to Seafarers, was followed the next day by a relaxing Pirate-themed cruise around Limassol Bay. The Sunday was taken up with the Branch annual golf championship at Aphrodite Hills Resort, which was generously sponsored by Lloyd’s Register and Exxon Mobil. 32 players took part in the main event while four ladies enjoyed nine holes on the academy course. The members trophy was carried away by Colin Walker and presented by Saurav Ghosh of Exxon Mobil.
