Just a month into the 2008 hurricane season, Dr William ‘Bil’ Loth CEng, FIMarEST, Managing Director of WD Loth & Company Ltd, and a Past President of IMarEST, takes a timely look at ‘Hurricane damage to the Gulf of Mexico offshore facilities and recovery’. Renowned as a specialist in underwater and structural engineering, his talk at the inaugural IMarEST Supper Meeting will span a number of hurricanes including Ivan (Sept. 2004), Katrina (August 2005), and Rita (Sept. 2005), focussing on the types of damage – with illustrations in plenty; typical salvage and repair activities for different parts of the infrastructure; and the abandonment of wells from failed facilities.

Supper: Both chefs at the City Conference Centre are Masters of the Craft Guild of Chefs and following each meeting they will prepare a two course supper.  The CCC has an excellent reputation for its catering, so why not bring clients and colleagues for an informative and convivial evening.
