As a result of collaboration between the
Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology
and British
Maritime Technology , it is now possible to search the
databases of both libraries using the website. There are
over 80,000 entries dating back as far as 1940 and drawn
from all major marine engineering publications. Sources
of information include technical papers, journals, conference
proceedings, books and transactions.
Marine Technology Abstracts is a gateway to thousands of
specialised references in such fields as marine engine design,
offshore technology, marine safety, naval architecture,
marine pollution, shipboard management, and computers in
the marine industry.
General access to this database is available
by subscription through BMT.
