IMarEST EGM
Tuesday 17 June 2008
We are very pleased to announce the results of the EGM held on Tuesday to consider the proposed changes to the Institute’s Membership structure and application process.
The Special Resolution to amend the Royal Charter and By-Laws was carried by 96.2%, representing just under 25% of those Corporate members eligible to vote.
The changes now need to be ratified by the Privy Council and it is hoped to put these in place in the autumn.
The number of Corporate members who responded to the poll (25%) is unusually high for a membership organisation and suggests that members hold the Institute in high regard and attach considerable importance to its activities.
The President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees would like to thank all those members who cast their vote by proxy, and those who attended and contributed to the meeting, for their continued support of IMarEST.
