    Our client requires a Marine Engineer to maintain contact with other divisions within its group, other shipping companies, the Classification Societies, Regulatory Bodies, Professional Bodies, sub-contractors and equipment manufacturers within the levels determined by the Principal Manager – Marine Engineering to continually monitor developments in the field of defined responsibility. You will be required to monitor the construction or conversion of vessels to ensure that the work in the shipyards follows the approved drawings and specifications and complies with acceptable marine standards, and liaise with other members of the group’s staff to ensure that the work is carried out in an effective and co-ordinated manner.

    Your Technical and/or Professional Responsibilities will be to participate in the design development, system design and evaluation of equipment specifications to ensure that all statutory and Company safety and operational standards and requirements are observed throughout. This includes maintaining contact and liaising with the relevant group departments as applicable, within the levels determined by the Principal Manager – Marine Engineering.
