The Role
Responsible for the administrative support necessary to ensure that IMarEST accreditations are performed accurately, on-time and to the required standard. To liaise with universities, colleges and organisations to assist them prepare for an accreditation visit. To organise and provide administrative support on accreditation visits and ensure the correct actions are carried out after a visit. To plan forthcoming accreditation visits, maintain up-to-date lists of IMarEST accredited courses and be responsible for publishing on the IMarEST website. To represent the IMarEST on external committees which consider accreditation issues. In addition, to provide administrative support to the Head, Professional Affairs & Membership, as required.
The Person
You will be degree qualified with knowledge of EC UK accreditation procedures and standards or equivalent and have some experience in the marine field. You should ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a standards setting/professional institution environment. You should also have project management skills, research/analytical skills and be conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel (as a minimum). You must have good organisational and administrative skills, be able to multi-task effectively and be a good communicator. The role will involve travel both within the UK and overseas so you must hold a passport.
