Senior Marine Surveyor - Anonymous

A worldwide organization with headquarters in Houston, Texas and regional offices in London, Singapore, Greece, Italy, Dubai, Warrington and Aberdeen are looking to employ a full time, permanent Senior Marine Surveyor to be based in London E1.

To be considered for this position you should possess a degree level qualification in a relevant field of Engineering or Physical Science or a qualification from a suitable marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience as a Certified Ships Officer

In addition to the above, you will be likely to have a minimum of 10 years experience in some or all of the following areas:

- Knowledge of the marine business in relation to ships and structures, including their structural integrity
- Supervision of surveyors/inspectors
- A sound foundation of survey training and practical experience of vessels in service
- A working knowledge of IACS Classification Rules, Guides, Statutory Regulations and related instructions
- An ability to read engineering plans and have a good understanding of naval engineering practices and vessel operations
- Knowledge of various formats for completion of certificates
- Familiarity with logging procedures for completion of certificates
- Customer liaison and preparation of tenders.

- able to work well individually and as part of a team
- flexible regarding working arrangements
