North Star Shipping (Aberdeen) Ltd manages and operates Craig Group Ltd's fleet of Offshore Support Vessels, on charter to the major oil companies, construction companies and offshore alliances both in the North Sea and Internationally. The fleet was boosted in 2003, with the addition of two new multi-purpose DPII ROV support vessels for North Star's domestic and international markets and we currently have an ongoing new build programme of 7 vessels. North Star is the largest wholly owned UK company engaged in providing safety standby services, and we are dedicated to providing clients with innovative, cost-effective solutions for emergency response, rescue and multi-role ROV support vessels.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, we require an Engineering Superintendent to join our team, based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for; overseeing fleet compliance with current and future legislation and standards, contributing to the management and maintenance of our fleet of 28 vessels within agreed budgets and targets and ensuring quality assurance programmes are delivered and maintained throughout the fleet. You will also be required to liaise on a daily basis with the team of Superintendents and the Engineering Director.

You should possess rigorous accredited marine qualifications and have a minimum of 10 years marine/management and superintendence experience. You will also be strongly customer focused and have a proven track record in safety leadership and commercial awareness.
