Sea Squad - Technical Operations Manager

SeaSquad Repair Services Ltd has an immediate requirement for a Technical Operations Manager to be based in its London Office, as it seeks to grow its worldwide network.

The ideal candidate will :

- be an enthusiastic person with technical/ marine engineering background ideally with experience in ship repair, who should be self motivated and willing to take on a new challenge;
- be able to price, plan, organize, control and monitor various repairs on different vessels in various locations using our own teams and/or sub-contractors;
- have close liaison with customers, owners, repairs workshops, superintendents, manning agencies worldwide;
- have excellent man management skills with ability to motivate and manage our teams to deliver high level of customer service within demanding and competitive markets;
- have the ability to prioritize tasks and able to achieve strict deadlines;
- have keen interest in development of the business further;
- be highly motivated and willing to work as part of team in a challenging and competitive environment;
- be an excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport with customers, clients, sgm agencies, colleagues ashore and customers alike;
- be computer literate;
- be conversant with all aspects of safety.

The successful candidate will act as the focal point with respect to turnkey repair project activity inclusive of profit driven estimation within a rapidly expanding Sea Going Maintenance company. This will combine office based and on-site management of the project teams. As part of a major global marine services provider, the position will involve travel.

Key responsibilities will include:

1 - Tender pricing of projects and negotiation with the potential customers
2 - Project Management
3 - Identifying, negotiating and appointing sub contractors and
suppliers
4 - Managing the profitability of the projects
5 - Direct sales as appropriate
