Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts-Aktiengesellschaft is a major ship owner and manager, operating Gas Tankers and Ro-Ro vessels, mainly in Europe. They are a member of the Sloman Neptun Group with a turnover of over €100 Million.

They currently seek a technical superintendent to manage the technical requirements for a number of their Tanker units. Furthermore you must ensure, all requirements of charterers including Oil Majors are permanently adhered to.

Reporting to head of ship management, you will also be responsible for planning, tendering, supervision, and coordination of repair jobs, regular inspection of assigned vessels and initiating and supervision of maintenance programs of the ships.

You will manage and motivate the ships’ crews, be responsible for environmental and safety standards and coordinate all activities between ships and head office to secure efficient operation of the ships.

You will establish an annual budget, supervise and benchmark ships cost, assist procurement and constantly review vessels for potential optimisation.

You must have practical experience as Chief Engineer on tankers and preferably have held a position for 2+ years within a shipping company. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English is required. Applications with more junior qualifications could be considered for an extended training process

You should be ambitious, goal oriented and have the flexibility to respond to the various target groups within the shipping industry. You should be highly motivated and always work thoroughly and precisely.
