The IMarEST
recognises the need to bring together
marine engineers, scientists and technologists
and has become the first professional
institute to develop an all embracing
approach. Formally the Institute of Marine
Engineers the inclusion of Technologists
and Scientists into the institute has
opened windows of opportunity for collaboration
and knowledge sharing which was impossible
before.
These marine science specific web pages
aim to encompass the marine science activities
of institute; providing a guide to marine
science events, institute publications
and memberships. It also aims to provide
up to date news on worldwide advances
in marine research and provide an insight
into international organisations, academic
institutions, companies and individuals
who are making waves in the marine science
