The membership committee have the responsibility to assess and scrutinise applications for election, transfer, reinstatement and resignation of corporate membership (Fellow, Member and Associate Member) of the Institute and potential removal of members from the membership roll and to make recommendations to Council as appropriate.
Additionally, the membership committee make decisions regarding the suitability of applications for professional registration and to make the final decision regarding this in accordance with the appropriate regulations and requirements.
The committee maintain an oversight of the Institute's membership procedures and how they are updated, consider applications for the reduced fees (i.e. hardship cases) and provide candidates with advice on membership and registration matters.
