The in-service parameters of diesel engines rarely correspond to the original settings from the shop/sea trial, which translates into performance losses. Optimising the performance of engines is a straightforward method of reducing GHG emissions and operational costs of a vessel. Mixing 2 types of fuels can lead to the risk of incompatibility between them. This risk can be mitigated using approved instantaneous on-board compatibility test kits rather than waiting days for laboratory results of fuel quality testing.
The IMarEST UAE branch is pleased to extend an invitation for you to join us delve into condition monitoring strategies to optimize performance and enhance operational efficiency of vessels including unlocking the value of a novel shipboard solution to verify future fuel compatibility.
