About this Event
As Marine Professionals, we direct a lot of engineering, care and seamanship to the handling of our vessels at sea.
However, as marine professionals, we must understand, interact with and supervise heavy lift contractors, stevedores and others in cargo loading. This presentation intends to give a high-level overview of the equipment used to load vessels, including ships and barges with the project and breakbulk cargo, including SPMTs, Crawler Cranes, Mobile Cranes.
As well as an understanding of load out operations, various references will be detailed to provide a greater understanding of when we are required to get involved and a future point in our careers.
About the Speaker:
Hamish Adamson is a Naval Architect with experience working through the planning and approval of onshore and offshore transportation operations. Now working at Harlyn Solutions a new company specialising in putting engineering lead solutions to the front of transportation challenges for the Oil and Gas, Renewables and Civil markets.
