WMTC, organised by the international association of 21 SNAME organisations (Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering) from 17 countries, is held every three years, but due to the COVID-19 situation, it was in 2020 decided to postpone the conference in Denmark with one year, and it will now be held 26th – 28th April 2022 at Tivoli Congress Center.
At recent WMTC conferences, there have been more than 1,000 participants from all over the world, and we hope that the situation in April 2022 is resolved so that many will come to Copenhagen.
This will be one of the first maritime conferences where the industry can once again meet physically and discuss challenges and solutions. WMTC is characterised by attracting both participants with an academic background and participants with an emphasis on practical implementation and background. This makes WMTC a particularly useful meeting place for putting new knowledge into practice.
Leading decision makers from the industry will be giving keynote lectures. It is also planned that between 150 and 200 articles will be presented at WMTC. For the most part, the author of the articles will be physically present, but some articles will have to be presented through video links or submitted videos. However, it will be ensured that there will be good opportunities for discussion, which is traditionally very active.
