Luke will give a talk of his life in wooden boats, his present project training young boat builders by recreating a Falmouth Pilot Cutter from the 19th Century, and how the tradition of wooden boats can be kept alive into the future.
After spending much of his youth sailing and exploring Greece, Luke trained as a shipwright in Faversham, working on Thames Sailing Barges. He then brought his own boat which he restored in France before moving back to England in 1992 to set up Working Sail building wooden Pilot Cutters.
