Join the Joint Branch for the next in their talk schedule with this talk being on the subject of Stability in Fishing Vessels
The safety of fishing boats and the survival of those that work aboard them has, for a long time, been the subject of many a debate, research projects or sadly, accident investigations.
The talk will discuss the changes and improvements that have been made to the stability requirements of fishing boats in the UK beginning with a historical perspective, moving through the challenges of recent years, the recommendations of MAIB and look forward to possible amendments to the survey regime. It will include aspects that have been attributed to significantly improving the survivability of UK fishing vessels.
