The IMarEST wants to help young and ambitious marine professionals as much as possible when they start their career. We developed the Graduate Pathway as a support programme to help these young professionals improve their employability, develop professional skills, and prepare for professional registration (e.g. Technician, Registered/Incorporated, Chartered status) over the course of five years, at a heavily discounted rate.

The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) awards a number of Stanley Gray Fellowships every year to selected candidates judged to be of outstanding potential to enable a significant piece of work to be undertaken in an approved marine engineering/science/technology subject to Doctorate (PhD) or post-Doctorate level.
Each year the IMarEST supports the best idea for an original, exciting, and exceptional journey, giving the winner a £5,000 grant. It is important that the project takes you somewhere fresh, different and original. Your journey needs really to matter to you, but also needs to be one that leads you to tell a story in a way that will inspire people to think about the oceans and seas, and perhaps think differently about the sea and how it is used. Find out how to apply here.
