Does the Membership Fee include my Professional Registration Fee? +
No - as before, your professional registration fees are applied on top of your IMarEST subscription rate. However, in future you will be able to pay for these in currencies other than GBP as well. If you pay for your membership subscription by monthly Direct Debit, your Professional Registration fee will be debited in equal instalments along with your subscription. For more detail regarding monthly direct debits, please also see the answer to "Can I pay my subscription by monthly Direct Debit?"
Can I pay by monthly Direct Debit? +
We can accept Direct Debit payments from those with a UK bank account. The monthly payments are as follows:
Rate Group A (prices based on 12 monthly payments)
Retired &Long Service Members (LSM achieved on/after 01/10/2013)
(prices based on 12 monthly payments)
Please note that IMarEST operates a fixed membership year of 1 October to 30 September and the above table of monthly direct debit amounts assumes that your monthly direct debit payments will be taken in 12 equal instalments, starting in October each year.
If in your first year of paying by monthly direct debit, your first payment is taken later than October, then the total annual amount due from monthly direct debit payments for that membership year will be divided into an equal number of payments to be taken monthly up to and including the following September.
For example, if you are a Rate Group A Fellow and your first monthly direct debit payment is taken in January, you will make nine payments rather than twelve so they will be £24 each (i.e. total amount due is £216 (£18 per month for 12 months) which is paid instead in 9 equal monthly instalments (£216/9 = £24)).
In future years, your monthly direct debit will be taken in 12 equal instalments, at the published monthly direct debit rate for that membership year for your category of membership.
Can I pay in a currency other than GBP? +
We will publish subscription fees and accept payments in GBP, EUR, AUD, SGD and USD. Although we will seek to set rates for the entire membership year, the IMarEST may adjust the fee during the year in response to any material currency fluctuations. Please note that Direct Debit payments are possible only for those paying in GBP from a UK bank account.
How do I order my Membership Certificate? +
The IMarEST is pleased to offer Certificates of Membership and frames for the certificates. Certificates are A3 size. IMarEST has commissioned a professional framing company to produce an elegant hand made black frame.

For those who fall on hard times (or in full time employment earning less than £15,000 per annum), we have a process to consider and support our members who require help paying their fees. If you are unemployed, a low earner, facing financial hardship, suffering from ill health or taking a career break, you can apply for reduced subscription rate by emailing .
What is a Long Service Member? +
Long Service Member status is automatically granted to members when they have achieved continuous membership with the IMarEST for 45 years. All Long Service Members are contacted to congratulate them on their continuing membership once they reach that milestone.
All future Long Service Members (post 30th September 2013) will be required to pay the baseline annual subscription rate of £60.00 per annum. While we still recognise and value your long-term contribution and dedication to your Institute, this change is necessary to support the stability and financial security of your Institute’s future.

Can I still get hard copy publications? +
All Corporate members (associate level and above) receive a hard copy of the IMarEST publication every month included in their membership fee. Students and affiliates receive a digital version of the magazine but can order a hard copy version of the magazine online at eshop.imarest.org.
Can I receive paper-based correspondence? +
We fully understand that some of our members will want hard copy correspondence from us, and we are more than happy to still send you information by post if requested. There will be a small additional charge of £10 per annum to cover the costs.
I do not have a ‘My IMarEST’ account – how do I get one? +
