IMarEST TV recording by the South East England & London Home Counties Branch on the 28th July 2021. This webinar was presented by Senior Consultant in Whole Ship Design and Naval Architecture with Safinah Group, Keith Hutchinson.
This webinar describes the LNG supply and utilisation chain, with a focus on floating assets, before considering the current and future deployment floating LNG bunkering throughout the world in response to the significantly rising demand for LNG as a fuel for both small coastal tonnage and the largest deep-sea ships.
To remain competitive, we must study how these technologies can improve the benefits by upgrading processes, resources, workflow, and cooperation between stakeholders. Digitalization is on hand and it is mature enough to start implementation and be part of our strategy for the future in shipbuilding.
The design of LBVs is also discussed; including the many common, and some unique, but often conflicting and diverse design and operational criteria which must be addressed coherently within the design process in order to generate robust and safe solutions.
