Dr. Gocha Chochua is a Technical Advisor at Schlumberger (SLB), where he leads the company’s global Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) group and drives advanced modeling and simulation initiatives across the oil and gas sector. With over 20 years of industry experience, he is widely recognized for his expertise in analytical and computational fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, turbomachinery design and analysis, and erosion modeling and mitigation. Dr. Chochua holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida and has built a distinguished career spanning the oil and gas, turbomachinery, and aerospace industries. His work focuses on developing robust, physics-based methodologies and simulation-driven design approaches that enhance product performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. He has played a key role in establishing and standardizing advanced modeling practices within industry, particularly in erosion prediction and design optimization.
