Session Four: UK ports, infrastructure and supply chains
Mohammad Mirzaei is a highly motivated and research-oriented maritime professional with 15 years of experience in, pilotage, port marine operations and shipping. He holds an MSc in Port Management (Outstanding, 2024) from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSc in Environmental Management (Distinction, 2016). His academic and professional journey has shaped a strong interest in maritime logistics, Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS), port infrastructure and safety assessment.
In recent years, his focus has shifted towards applied research in alternative marine fuels, maritime transport and logistics, and decarbonisation pathways for the shipping sector. With extensive operational experience, he has demonstrated expertise in planning and coordinating port marine activities to maximise efficiency while ensuring compliance with the Port & Marine Facility Safety Code, HSE standards, and company procedures. He is committed to continuous improvement, safety culture promotion, and contributing to the sustainable future of the maritime industry.
