Funded Therapy Sessions

Supporting your wellbeing at sea and onshore with free, confidential mental health sessions.

To ensure our community has the right support when it matters most, the Guild of Benevolence of the IMarEST, in partnership with Relate/Family Action, is offering fully funded professional counselling sessions (valued at £100 per session) to support IMarEST members and their families through life’s difficulties.

What support is available?

Whether you are dealing with stress, isolation, relationship struggles, or family difficulties, there may be a specialist pathway available for you:

  • Individual Counselling: Up to 6 sessions to focus on personal well-being, stress, and mental health
  • Couples Counselling: Up to 6 sessions for partners navigating communication or relationship hurdles
  • Family Counselling: Up to 6 sessions to support your wider family unit through transitions or difficulties
  • Psychosexual Therapy (PST): Up to 12 sessions of highly specialist support where clinically appropriate

100% confidential and anonymous

  • The Guild of Benevolence and the IMarEST will never see your clinical details
  • All assessments, sessions, and personal data are held entirely and securely by our clinical partners, Relate/Family Action
  • The Guild of Benevolence funds the sessions to ensure there is zero cost to you

How to apply

Fill out the short, secure enquiry form below. Once submitted, your details will be passed directly to the clinical team at Relate/Family Action, who will reach out to you to conduct an initial assessment to match you with the right counsellor.
