For the Autumn event we will return to my home club of Romford Golf Club, Heath Drive, Gidea Park, Romford, RM2 5QB on Friday 18th September, venue for our inaugural meeting in 2023. Romford has been both an Open Qualifying Course and more recently held PGA Seniors Championships. A member is currently the English Amateur Champion and a cadet is the Irish Girls Amateur Champion. The course was designed by the five-time Open Champion James Braid. At 6,139 yards from the yellow tees, though flat, the par 71 course offers a stern, but fair test of golf.

Again, due to travel considerations for players, I will be trying something different on timings and format with a rolling Brunch being served on arrival between noon & 1pm, followed by first tee time at 13.30 and sandwiches & chips following play, before the prize giving.
