In 2009, The project was started as JIP (joint industry project) with academia and shipping industry. MOL was a lead of shipping sector.
From 2018, MOL took over this project as "social implementation project" with the same partners. In 2022, 1st ship "SHOFU MARU" was delivered and now in service.
We have released our upgraded environmental action program "MOL Environmental Vision 2.2" in 2023. Wind Challenger has a high expectation for contribution of zero emission shipping.
