About SEASTARS
SEASTARS develops a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to support shipowners and other maritime stakeholders in planning and implementing modular decarbonisation solutions for innovative vessel designs towards 2030.

About the event

This second workshop is designed to explore how the SEASTARS platform can evolve into a collaborative sandbox environment, where stakeholders can securely input proprietary data, adjust key parameters, and test scenarios in order to support informed decision-making.

Your participation would help us to:

  • Validate how different stakeholders would use such a collaborative platform in practice,
  • Identify which parameters, inputs and scenario options should remain editable by users,
  • Understand what data-sharing, confidentiality and access conditions are needed,
  • Define the most useful outputs for decision-making across technical, operational, financial and regulatory perspectives,
  • Ensure the platform reflects real-life collaboration needs among shipowners, shipyards, naval architects, technology providers, class and other relevant actors.

Participants will collaboratively:

  • Examine how the SEASTARS platform can function as a trusted and practical decision-support sandbox,
  • Define the key features, user interactions and governance conditions needed for collaborative use,
  • Explore stakeholder expectations regarding data input, parameter customisation, scenario testing and result interpretation,
  • Contribute to shaping a platform concept that is both useful in practice and aligned with sector needs.

What you will get from attending

  • Direct engagement with shipowners, shipyards, technology providers, naval design offices, researchers and other decision-makers
  • The opportunity to contribute to the future design of the SEASTARS platform
  • Early visibility of the platform’s collaborative and decision-support approach
  • A chance to shape a European initiative supporting the uptake of low- and zero-emission maritime solutions

Participation is free of charge, but seats are limited to maintain workshop quality. The workshop will be conducted in English. Travel and accommodation are not covered by SEASTARS.
