Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is possibly the greatest challenge facing the maritime sector in the coming decades. Svitzer has set itself ambitious targets of a 50% reduction in emissions intensity by 2030 and to be fully carbon neutral by 2040, a decade ahead of the current IMO timetable. Achieving these goals will require technical innovation and streamlined operating practices, and in this session we will outline the strategies and technologies that Svitzer is employing in this endeavour.
