Responsibilities
- Create Manageable Tasks and management activities utilising custom software
- Analyse, vet, and interrogate Work Specifications to ensure a full and detailed understanding of customer requirements (including resource and material identification)
- Investigate and compile a listing of surveys required by the work specification and determine cost coverage recommendations
- Resolve conflicting project requirements through having a full understanding of client requirements
- When necessary, deputize for the Planning Supervisor and ensure that the direction of the department is followed in relation to strategic direction of the company
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and the client’s agents
- Comply with all working practices, standards of discipline, safety, and quality
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical and/or mechanical and/or welding background
- Project planning and project management
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communication to all levels of stakeholders
- Experience using IT systems to control work packages
- Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification (an asset)
- Production shipyard experience or having a Navy maintenance background (an asset)
- Royal Canadian Navy operating systems experience (strong asset)
