Nikeel Idnani, Honorary Secretary of the IMarEST UAE Branch, was invited to speak at a maritime career development event on 27 March, organised by the International Maritime Club (IMC) & International Maritime Institute, in association with Aries International Maritime Research Institute and Aries Energy.
746 cadets from the Vel's Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai, India, gathered along with 2,400 online participants.
With his extensive experience as a Chief Engineer and leadership roles in shore-based marine management, Nikeel delivered a compelling 30-minute presentation on the critical role of communication onboard ships. Drawing from firsthand challenges in the Engine Room, he shared engaging real-life anecdotes, practical insights and actionable strategies, equipping them with the knowledge to confidently navigate their maritime careers.
