Meeting the 2025 Cadet intake at City of Glasgow College
IMarEST Scottish Branch Committee members Sol Judah and Iain Anderson recently visited City of Glasgow College to speak with the latest intake of future Engineers and Deck Officers — an impressive group of around 300 cadets.
The session introduced cadets to the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) and highlighted:
- The benefits of free Student membership
- How IMarEST supports cadets during and after their training
- Continued Professional Development (CPD) and professional recognition pathways
- Opportunities to engage with Special Interest Groups
- Exciting career routes across Marine, Oil & Gas, and Offshore Renewables
We are proud to play a part in guiding the next generation of seafarers as they begin their journeys, whatever path they choose.
A huge thank you to Dr Paul Little CBE, Dhruva Kumar, and the dedicated faculty at City of Glasgow College for their ongoing support.
We look forward to welcoming members of the 2025 intake to future Institute events and seeing them make the most of the resources and opportunities IMarEST membership provides.
Best of luck to the 2025 cadet intake from all of us at the IMarEST Scottish Branch.
