SeaBot XR becomes Marine Member of the IMarEST
SeaBot XR has become a Marine Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), the world’s largest international marine professional body.
A leading agency for next-generation learning products and services, SeaBot XR has a particular focus on the shift to automation. The company ensures that the skills and competencies seafarers need to operate un-crewed vessels are developed in tandem with the technology.
Based in the United Kingdom, SeaBot XR’s end-to-end approach to learning is incorporated into companies looking to align their businesses to digital operations across the shipping, renewables, aviation and offshore oil and gas sectors. Through state-of-the-art tools such as gamified learning, blended learning delivery using extended reality, and a pan-industry competency management and assessment platform, SeaBot XR manages individuals’ learning journeys.
Gordon Meadow, founder and CEO of SeaBot XR, said, “As an active member of the IMarEST, a Fellow, and as Chair of the Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships Special Interest Group, I have come to view this organisation as the 'think tank' for maritime's future. The Institute seeks to address some of the biggest challenges within our industry, and along with this, their focus on continuous learning and collaboration is in line with SeaBot XR's approach to skills, training and development for the ships of today and tomorrow. I am delighted that SeaBot XR is now a Marine Member of the IMarEST, and look forward to continuing our knowledge sharing on remote and autonomous systems."
As a Marine Member of the IMarEST, SeaBot XR will participate in technical activities through the IMarEST’s special interest groups, gain access to expert knowledge resources and provide its staff with professional development opportunities through the IMarEST’s extensive array of membership benefits.
