Upcoming lecture: RMS Titanic a different perspective

This presentation invites people to reconsider their understanding of the RMS Titanic and the events that occurred before, during, and after the sinking.
After the presentation, Andy will also give a quick insight into other talks he is presently working on, and the audience can have some say in what he does next.
About the Speaker
Andrew Stuart Jones IENG IMarEng MIMarEST is a former IOMSPC apprentice marine engineer.
After serving his time, he worked for the IOMSPC as a fitter-turner in the company’s workshops in Fort Street Douglas, as well as a third engineer during the summer seasons of 1988 & 1989.
In 1990, he joined Cunard Cruise line (now known as Carnival UK) as a junior fifth engineer, quickly passing through the ranks to Chief Engineer.
He has worked for all brands and on numerous different classes of ship owned and operated by them during his 35-year career with them, as well as working in different offices around the world.
He is the only Manxman to sail on 4 Cunard Queens as Chief Engineer. His last 5 years of his career were on Queen Mary 2, at one time the largest ocean liner built and still the fastest.
Andrew is also a member of the British Titanic Society.
