Supporting the next generation of marine engineers as they work towards the Maritime Coastguard Agency Certificate of Competency Management Level III/2 Engineering Knowledge.
The Guild of Benevolence (the partner charity of the IMarEST) is making grants of £750 available to those studying for the MCA Certificate of Competency Management Level III/2 Engineering Knowledge. This grant is intended for anyone who might be affected by a loss of earnings, as a result of any unpaid leave from active service that is necessary to study for the certificate.
With the Guild originating from the Titanic Engineering Staff Memorial Benevolent Fund, which was set up in 1912 by the Institute as a result of all 35 engineers on board losing their lives, our main focus currently is to help those in need within the marine community.
Please note that non-Student Members are ineligible for this grant. To sign up as a Student Member, head to the student membership page and apply now before continuing with this application.
Please be aware that to qualify for this grant your course must be a minimum of six weeks in duration.
