Venue: The Legion Hall, Douglas.

Onboard carbon capture and storage (CCS) is becoming increasingly attractive and viable on certain vessels, as an already implementable solution, forming part of a vessel owner and operator’s decarbonisation strategy, complementary to ongoing fuels developments and efficiency optimisations – deployable both for newbuild and retrofit projects.

The presentation will cover the recent entry to the marine market of the Wärtsilä pilot CCS solution, the system offering, applicability with respect to vessel type, and pilot testing experience to date. Separately, an update covering the latest CH4 slip performance for Wärtsilä common-rail 4-stroke engines.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this event.
