About the event:
In September 2025 the United Kingdom’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) launched their modernisation revision of the training and assessment that will be used for the issue of all new MCA Certificates of Competency. By 2028 all current formal written examinations will be replaced by new assessment formats utilising a digital platform. Not only will the assessment process change, but the content of the training programmes has been revised and modernised to reflect current and future operational and management needs.
The speakers will explain the process of this revision, and provide details of the new skills and knowledge required, and why some current training elements is being minimised.
