Our committees and Council oversee the work of the Institute, our individual branches, and Special Interest Groups.

IMarEST Council

Our Council of members provides advice and support to our governing Board of Trustees.

Technical Leadership Committee

The Technical Leadership Committee (TLC) works with the Executive to establish and maintain the Institute’s Technical Plan, informed by Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and industry sources.

Special Interest Group committees

Serving on the committee of a Special Interest Group (SIG) puts you at the heart of the Institute's technical leadership.

SIGs Committee

The SIGs Committee provides oversight of the Institute's Special Interest Groups (SIG) and serves as a platform for sharing best practices, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and escalating key topics.

The Sea Your Future Steering Group consists of a diverse range of people with different professional backgrounds who are at various stages of their career.

Books Committee

The Books Committee works to maintain and improve the scope, policy and review process of the Institute's portfolio of technical books.
