Global Fisheries Improvements

  • Overview

Fishing, whether it takes place at sea or in inshore fisheries, holds economic and cultural importance in many countries.

The Global Fisheries Special Interest Group brings together experts in fisheries science, crew safety and welfare, vessel design, management, governance and looks at technology in fishing and how to keep people safe. The SIG provides targeted support for fisheries professionals and contributes to international initiatives.
