Small Ships

  • Overview

If you are interested in any aspect of small ships from design, construction, operation, through to surveying, the IMarEST Small Ships Special Interest Group (SS SIG) gives you the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.

The SS SIG covers all types of vessels, including leisure crafts, yachts, commercial vessels, workboats (large and small), passenger ships, ferries, tugs, military vessels, and others.

The group is associated with similar bodies overseas and SS SIG members represent the IMarEST on a variety of Regulatory and UK/EU/ISO Standards Committees and with the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) on the development of Codes.

If you are interested in joining the group, sign into the MyIMarEST member portal and select the group from the list.
