A Special Visit Aboard HMS Prince of Wales

On 24th June, members of the Singapore Joint Branch of RINA & IMarEST had a unique opportunity to tour one of the largest warships in the world: the Royal Navy’s aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales . A big thank you goes to the British High Commission and Bart Lubecki who helped make this visit possible. We also greatly appreciate the friendly and helpful crew for showing us around and making the visit even more memorable!

Docked at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, the HMS Prince of Wales boasts a flight deck large enough to fit three football pitches. As part of its first formal port call in the region, the carrier will host a wide range of events, from a defence and security industry day, a science and technology symposium, to an e-sports tournament between British and Singapore soldiers.
