The Naval Engineering Special Interest Group, managed by an international committee, offers a professional hub for all those engaged with the naval engineering community. It aims to celebrate success, represent views, debate challenges, and facilitate the continual professional development of the naval engineering community.

The group organises and hosts international conferences, exhibitions, and events, including the International Naval Engineering Conference and Exhibition, and Engine as a Weapon, among others. The aim is to share knowledge, resolve issues, promote best practice, and identify emerging technical needs and potential solutions. It also provides a forum for training and CPD of professionals in the sector and develops joint sector positions on current IMO and other IGO debates.

The group welcomes members from the broadest spectrum of Naval Engineering interests from any country. If you are interested in joining the group, sign into the MyIMarEST member portal and select the group from the list.
