WEBINAR: Role and Achievements of IMO's Maritime Safety Committee in Enhancing Safety and Security at Sea
The webinar provides an overview of the role and achievements of IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC), including the history of the establishment of the Committee and its place in the framework of the currently existing IMO Committees, and highlights specific issues currently under consideration.
An outlook regarding the matters expected to be considered at its next session, MSC 108 in May 2024, is also presented. The presentation also provides a brief introduction of the work of IMO’s Facilitation Committee which closely cooperates and collaborates with the MSC.
