WEBINAR: Shaping Maritime Decarbonisation: IMO GHG Policy Developments and IMarEST Member’s Perspectives

A webinar by the Ship Energy and Environment SIG.

This webinar explores the current status of IMO debates as they relate to GHG emissions and decarbonisation. This includes both the debate around the Net Zero Framework, which is pending adoption, and the EEXI/CII regulations which are currently under review and potential revision.

Exploring theoretical analysis of the policy options that might make cost-effective progress towards IMO’s Revised Strategy objectives, this webinar will also look at industry perspectives on the practical implications of those options.

The webinar concludes with a discussion incorporating the views and perspectives of attendess, and their support for how the IMarEST can most effectively feed into future rounds of GHG negotiations (including at ISWG-GHG 22 in September 2026, and MEPC 85 in December 2026).
